It looks like sort of a combo LA >or SF & NY. I mean, it can't be all NY because last time I checked NY didn't >have palm trees and all. ;p But MKC does have twin towers like NY. Seems like >it was modeled after more than one major city, huh? I agree with this. Also, if I remember correctly, Lance Falk once posted something to an AOL message board regarding this topic. He had said that they didn't really have ONE city in mind- but rather, they took the idea of Judge Dredd's major city (Darned if I know the name,) which is considered a gogolopolis (3 times fast)- A huge city that has anything the writers require it to have. I asked him about continental location later, and he said that the general idea was for a California-type area, because of the palm trees, and the close proximity to mountians, deserts, and canyons (Alkatraz was incidental,) but the elements they used (like the world trade center-like buildings) they took from lots of different cities- MKC could have been anywhere. Presumably to give the viewer the impression they were watching a large city, maybe? By showing them familiar icons from known huge cities, they will assume MKC is just as large..... ~Strike (strike@sprintmail.com) http://216.71.35.190/ (www.whitestorm.com) "Winfield goes back to the wall.
