In Unlikely Alloys, anyone notice the music that's playing when T-Bone's putting out the fire and looking for Razor? It's a clip of music from season 1, NOT season 2. Anyone have a theory why they did that? I have more 2nd season eps than 1st season eps, and I've never seen this in any others. Oh. Anyone wonder how the mega-crossover's going? Well, the author list has risen to 10(Kristen, Seeker, Kris Tailchaser, and non-list member Art Pendragon.), and we've got a ton done. Me and Jake Bridges are editing and improving on what we have, so it's going pretty good. It's slowed down many of our OWN side projects(I know it has MINE!), but we're still doing those too. Jake's big fanfic is still getting worked on, and I'm getting part 3 of The New Breed coming along. Felicia's getting the Felicia McFurry Saga done pretty well, despite having restricted time like me. Kat's still got hers going, I think... Well, that's it from my brain. It went empty. :P Later! I mean *technical skill* wise "Deadly Pyramid" is great.... I mean, the way the background recedes as the Enforcer choppers fly past is terrific. New buildings emerge from behind the others as they pass *and* they all look like finished background paintings, not simplified. It's an incredible advancement over those cartoons where they just play an animated series of really simply draw buildings over and over. The animators/script writers of the generation that animated for us when we were growing up (I'm assuming that most of those reading this will be in the generation after X) makes fun of that old stereotypical hero: big, strong, handsome, and brave. Both kats are great! Chance has a big heart... and as for his temper... it comes quickly, it goes quickly. When it concerns little things anyway - if it's something important,... well, how many of us can just get over serious issues like it was nothing quickly? Jake's quiet and good-natured.... with a bit of an impish/sneaky side underneath it.... The show would have been *nothing*, IMHO, without *both* kats. I love the action and the sci-fi plots, but it was the friendship and bantering between the two SWAT Kats that's kept me hooked for... five years now. However, if I had to chose a favorite, I'd pick Chance... Why? I can't exactly tell you. Maybe because he's nothing like me, making him a little more interesting. In the defense of poor 'ol T-Bone: I've always liked the stronger kat. He is ferocious, which is kinda cool in my book. I've felt that he got the short end of the stick, especially when it came to she-kats.(T-Bone was shortchanged with Turmoil; too little airtime). But that always happens. (Case in point: Ryouga Hibiki for all you Ranma 1/2 fans.) With T-Bone, all he needed was to be put in place once in a while. When I was creating my character, Sgt. Gina Persian (I know, it's a shameless plug) I kinda had T-Bone in mind: an arrogant, kick tail she-kat who knows she's good, bordering a bit on the snobbish side. It took two defeats for T-Bone to tone down a bit, and realize maybe he's not the greatest pilot in the world. But in spite of all that, he's a teddy bear on the inside. Too bad we really didn't get a 'Chance' to see it. Don't get me wrong, I like Razor. Good point. I have to admit, I do that a lot!! I wrote a fan fic called Don't Back Out Now and poor Razor got beaten up a lot during the entire fan fic. I think it just depends on certain reasons. Maybe how much the person likes the characters or vice versa. Someone may like Razor but still write him getting injured all of the time or that person may T-Bone and don't want T-Bone to get injured so they pick Razor. Also, we always see Razor mostly getting in danger in the eps, because he has to go out of the Turbokat to do stuff. So we go with that. Or we might think that Razor is weaker so...:shrugs: That's all I really know about it. I, for one have the reverse going on, as it's always been T-Bone getting the most punishment, and in one case, I actually have Jake being violent towards a lot of kats... I dunno, my reason for this is that I see that Chance, IMHO can take a lot more punishment than Jake, and can heal from it faster. Updating is taking place on the site, with Crash making it look spectacular. Also, we are planning out a donations idea, aka "Fund Raiser". It would pay for new hardware and software for our computers, a new web domain name, a lot of space, and more features still in secrecy. It's all going well, we are making a better, more user friendly site with MORE FEATURES, to make it a top-notch place to visit. We don't ask for a whole lot per kat of donations, ranging from a dollar to six. we will be setting up a PO box for the donators to sent it to. Since DiC didn't finish the whole series, you don't really see the depth to the char. There's NO nudity in SM, and the whole show's pretty clean. I think that the animation is pretty good-in the Japanese version- but not the american. Well, after remembering we had forgotten about it (er, sorry) we finished working on it.... sooooooo it's all done! We're changing things quite a bit this year. In order for your site to be eligible for the Awards, you need to go to http://www.whitestorm.com/skform.html and submit your site, site info, and what categories it is eligible for. On April 30th (the last day you can submit) we'll put all the information together, and send the list to several (undecided how many- at least 5) judges. The judges will narrow down the entrants in each category to five sites. At that time we'll re-post the site, with the categories and entrants, and voting will commence for two weeks. (So hopefully, all of this should be done by the end of May.) If you would be willing to be a site judge (it would mean having to visit all the sites submitted, and seeing if they are 'competetive' in the categories they signed up for,) please say so in the "comments - suggestions" area of the form. (Otherwise I have to go asking around!) Please note that a few of the awards will have size categories. Before you submit your site, please check and see how many total megs your site is ACTUALLY USING - NOT THE TOTAL MEGS OF SPACE AVAILABLE! This is very important, we need this info to make some of the categories fair for sites of all sizes. Please be as close to the actual meg usage as possible. Telling us that your site is "20-50 megs" isn't really narrowing it down far enough for us. Also please note that we want MAIN SITES ONLY. Do NOT submit any sub-sites. For instance, Strike's SWAT Kats Zone (my site) hosts an RPG site, a Fan Art Site, an a SWAT Kats file area. So when I register, I would register ONLY the main site (www.whitestorm.com) and check off the category boxes for "Best Fan Art Site" "Best RPG Site" and the SK file award (I forget what it's called) along with the meg usage for the ENTIRE site.
