In the books, there's a holster design that's worn on the inside of the forearm of the firing hand. The holster senses the motions of the hand as it goes to grip the gun, and a "smart" cable puts the gun in the firer's hand. Basically all you do is move your hand as if you're gripping the butt of the gun and Presto! it's there in your hand, ready to use. The Glovatrix could similarly use slight changes in hand and forearm positions to select and release its various weapons and other appurtenances. It would take a lot of training to use, but once mastered it's a devastating and useful weapon. We also have to remember that the katkind is not feline, rather feline adapted to human form. So in essence, you have to change things around a bit, like going from paws to hands, nails to claws, skin to fur, and so on. If you keep the characteristics of a feline, add the shape and stature of a human, along with the pointy ears, feet, tail, nose, and such, you have a Kat. Now, we all know felines have a special ability to jump, like Ed said. A twenty-something storey high platform, add cargo nets on the sides, the kind sailors use, and there you have a climbing game. Or, have gigantic trees, and see who could climb one the fastest. Logics prove that the games I listed would, in theory, work. They would not if one fell. So there you have my theory on a small slice of the Katkind-Mankind bit. I was looking through the center aisle rack of cheap-o kids videos & saw a couple of Hanna-Barbera tapes of Flintstones, Snagglepus, etc. & thought to myself, "I wonder if there's any SK videos -- Naaah." Just a few slots further down the rack, and Lo and behold! I found a "Strike of Dark Kat" video! Here's the particulars for those who may be looking for these tapes: The original bar code on the back of the tape has been crossed out with a marker (on the actual box itself, not the wrapping) A new UPC sticker was put on the front with SKU#3254695 (apparently Best Buy's sku number) The description sticker looks like this: SV/$2.99 KIDS/$2.99 KID 3254695//H327008//417 Can anyone decipher all the code numbers? Only a measly $2.99, but it ended up only $1.99 at the checkout. Hope this info helps someone out! To answer your question, yes I have. After a year of searching, in July, I found the game! It didn't have the instructions with it, but I found out you can order a copy of 'em from Nintendo since Hudson Soft, the publisher of the game, closed up shop. Only problem is, no more copies of the game can be bought in the store new, unless they have some unsold copies just lying around... I spent 10 bucks to get it. Best 10 bucks I spent EVER. Look in video rental stores, or, for a thrill, Funcoland or something like 'em. Funco sells it for 3 bucks, last I knew, and that was a while ago. Never know.. I'm gonna keep trying and get a few copies, if I can. If you see a copy for rent, offer cash for it, game OR tape. I haven't really tried for the tapes, but I think I will now. :) Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna get some rest now... ::Moans:: Stupid flu... It is merely a law that states that a telephone call to your ISP will *legally* be treated as an interstate (not truly long distance) call. Which means that the federal government, rather than the state, sets the laws by which your ISP phone call will be governed. In other words, fraud, etc. using the Internet is now a federal offense in the US. It's sort of like an addendum to the CDA 2. -----Original Message----- From: The SK Enthusiast Club Online To: swatkats@PEAK.ORG Date: Friday, February 26, 1999 6:07 PM Subject: Re: |SKML| OT Panic time.
