But Pastmaster acted childish too. > Calico Briggs; mid to late 20s. Deputy Mayor is obviously an appointed post (I assume by the Mayor), because she was not running during the election, so she only needs to be comptient at what she does (which is run the office). Therefor she does not have to have much of a background in politics, and can therefor be younger than most high-level polititions. > Dr. Viper; mid to late 40s. Raw guess, but he had a substantial history with MegaKat Biochemical in "The Origin of Dr. Viper" and that was before the show began. > Mayor Manx; at youngest 62, at oldest upwards of a well perserved 80. By the end of the show, he has served 10 full terms (which I placed at 4 years each) and part of a 11th. I put this at 41 years in office. Add another 21 years for minimum age to run (another assumption, it is usually older, but I'm going for minimum age here). This is assuming, of course, that he served no posts before becoming Mayor (at least none after he reached legal adulthood at 21) If you choose he did, or there is a higher age requirement on running for Mayor than I did, his age will be corespondenly higher. > Steele; late 20s to early 30s, about the same as Felina. He is the same rank (I think -- as Ulysses' second he should be), so a similar age would be appropriate. Dark Kat doesn't appear to have any magical powers, though creeplings are a fairly mysterious bunch, so I'd say he's still mortal in age (thought pretty strong and kinda mutated). Felina should be a little younger. Feral should be younger- he acts like he's in the prime of his life. Hard Drive has a jester-type of personality, so his behavior isn't exactly ground for immaturity. Viper, as Elrod Purvis, didn't show much sign of age except adulthood, so I'd say he's in his 30's. Everything else I agree with. These are opinions only, mind you. Sincerely, Javie Patag ----------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: Re: Wuff ! If I may suggest a better means of going about holding an awards contest.... Make a list of links to all the SWAT Kats sites you can find. The SWAT Kats Devotional has an excellent links page, and when I update my page (finally) on Wednesday, I'll have a very complete links page, too. So you can get links from those pages. Allow visitors to your Awards Site browse the pages listed, (most they've probably already seen, and will have their favorites in mind,) and then have a form below where they can type in their three or so favorite sites (in order of preference.) This way... people don't have to nominate their own sites (or rate the Fan Club Website "excellent good fine or terrible") and there is actually a voting pool, rather than one person choosing their favorite, out of the web pages that have been self-nominated. So, I think that this Awards contest is grossly unfair, and am not going to join in the contest as it presently exists... and have explained myself here. ;) ~Strike ----------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: Re: A question of the 'wrong' SWATKats pics. Yes you can vote now if you haven't already. Just go to the fan club site and make your vote (click on the link below). You can vote for your own site or your favorite site. In other words you don't need a site to vote. Ok I'm sorry to say some things in this awards are still not very fair. Like for example I put sections and catagory's. Some sites may not fit into those catagory's. So if you have a site you feel fits more into another catagory, just tell me. I'll be happy to change it for ya..and your votes will move with it to the section you want. Well that's about it, have fun. And I just wanted to thank Klawz and Strike. I borrowed Klawz's links page for the voting section and some catagory's. I hope she doesn't mind. And thanks to Strike for helping me out (she probably won't get this message but she deserves to be thanked anyway). That's about it...enjoy voting. And thanks for all your great support, without it there would have been no awards. So Thanks!!. If the rights have been sold to HB, there is no way that the Tremblays could be making a movie without buying the rights back. That should be enough to tell you that this isn't on the level. Also, making a movie is really, really mind-bogglingly expensive! Even an animated one! Twenty dollars from each of us wouldn't begin to pay for anything more ambitious than Bambi Vs. Godzilla. If you want to give your money away, give it to a charity, or buy a present for someone you love or like, but for gosh sakes don't hand it over to some scamster! =^^= Paul Kemner PS- Does anyone know how much it costs to produce one half-hour episode of animation, of even the ex-HB World Premier Toons level? It would be interesting to know about how much each ep. of the Kats cost, and how that compares to more usual TV animated fare. As he is the only author out of order (I think) it makes the work hard to find. I also have a comment on your rating system for stories. It would be good to place your rating descriptions (what your ratings mean) at the top of the FanFic pages so everyone understands it and your warnings. I for one always thought NC-17 was a lesser rating than R. I don't mind learning the new system, but it would be nice to have it somewhere very obvious. He (The tomkat who made it) says go to (http://www.lss.com.au), click on Microsoft Windows (or whatever platform you're using) and click on the program Desktop Themes for download, and also get the instructions. You're also gonna need WinZip. The theme has logos for the recycle bin empty and full, a my computer logo, and network neighborhood thingy. I like that the multiple authors got a seperate page as well. If you do seperate the RPG stories, I would like to see a note under the authors' entry on the main page (if they have any regular work) telling reader that they have work on the RPG page (or the Multiple Authors page). Cross-overs may also rate a seperate page at some point, perhaps sorted by the second series by author instead of just by author. There seems to be quite a bit of it. Same authors note as above if you deside to do this. I like to "go to other pages" section at the bottom of the Multiple Authors page better than the way it is set up in the rest of the archive. The Muliple Authors page is also not accessable from any of the other "A-Z" pages. -- ----------------- Rauhnee Ranshanka GateKat@SWATKats.Net ************************************************************************* "What enables an intelligent government and a wise military leadership to overcome others and achieve extraordinary accomplishments is foreknowledge." THIS ISN'T A VERY ACTIVE LIST, FOLKS. 3. I have become very ill suddenly and can no longer manage the list properly. Please do not email me about #1 unless you have recieved no listmail for at least a week, and not before trying to resubscribe. Please do not email me about #2 at all. If #3 occurs, check my fanfiction site for updates on my health. URL in my signature. I check listmail on an average of about once a day. This means your post not getting sent to everyone on the list may mean you just sent it too soon after the most recent listwork and I just won't get to your post until the next day. Sorry, but Dana didn't do it a heck of a lot more often, either. OTHER COMPLAINTS: I don't care WHO you think you are and WHAT you think you run, but telling the list when you're going away on vacation is NOT on topic.
